Abstract Submission

Check below the information regarding the type of abstracts you can submit, as well as the templates you should adopt for each of the categories.

Types of Submissions for the VIII International Congress on Forensic Science and Criminal Behavior:

Abstract (for oral communications); Extended Abstract (for oral communications and communications in panel form and Student Papers.

Abstract: Abstract should not have more than 600 words.

Extended Abstract: The extended abstract should not exceed 3 pages (including introduction, body of knowledge and conclusion, supported by not more than 10 references). Submit your extended abstract in PDF format, on this link.

Full Paper: You are allowed a total of 6 pages for your paper (including all figures, tables, and references). If you are planning to submit a Full Paper, you do not need to submit an Extended Abstract.

Student Papers: Research done by students in any of the topic areas listed above, or related areas. A total of 3 to 4 pages for a student paper including all figures, tables, and references.

Posters: The poster can be presented either in Microsoft Power Point (not more than 20 slides) or as A0 paper size (1189 x 841 mm). In addition to the poster's display, authors must submit their posters in the form of an extended abstract (should not exceed 3 pages) that will be included in the conference proceedings. The posters' display will run throughout the duration of the conference.

STANDARTS FOR SUBMISSION OF THE EXTENDED ABSTRACT TO THE VIII INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF FORENSIC SCIENCES AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR:

ABSTRACTS:

  1. Title in Portuguese and title in English - title with a maximum of 16 words;
  2. Name of the author and co-authors;
  3. Affiliation of the authors and co-authors;
  4. Abstract in Portuguese and English;
  5. Keywords: 3-6 keywords in Portuguese or English.

EXTENDED ABSTRACTS:

  1. Title in Portuguese and title in English - title with a maximum of 16 words;
  2. Name of the author and co-authors;
  3. Affiliation of the authors and co-authors;
  4. Abstract in Portuguese and English;
  5. Keywords: 3-10 keywords in Portuguese or English;
  6. Introduction;
  7. Methodology;
  8. Results and Discussion (or body of the work if it is a review);
  9. Conclusion;
  10. References.

STUDENT PAPERS:

  1. Title in Portuguese and title in English - title with a maximum of 16 words;
  2. Name of the author and co-authors;
  3. Affiliation of the authors and co-authors;
  4. Abstract in Portuguese and English;
  5. Keywords: 3-6 keywords in Portuguese or English;
  6. Introduction;
  7. Methodology;
  8. Results and Discussion (or body of the work if it is a review);
  9. Conclusion;
  10. References.

NOTES:

  1. Authors must accept the terms and conditions provided in the privacy policy;
  2. Each author may co-author several papers;
  3. Only papers submitted through this link, will be accepted;
  4. All authors of submissions involving biomedical research on human subjects will be responsible for adopting the highest ethical principles, in accordance with the Helsinki declaration.

DEADLINES:

  1. Submission of abstracts through this link until June 20, 2022 (at 23h:59min);
  2. Notification to the author of acceptance of the abstract by the Scientific Committee until June 21 (at 23h:59min);
  3. Affixing of the posters in the assigned area upon acceptance of the abstract until June 30th.
